Ten Fulton Hogan Engineering Scholarships
Fulton Hogan offers scholarships to students studying engineering at Canterbury or Auckland Universities.

1st Year Pro 50% fees
2nd Year Pro 75% fees
3rd Year Pro 100% fees
You will be required to work for Fulton Hogan during your summer break and give a commitment to work for Fulton Hogan when you graduate.
Fulton Hogan is also offers scholarships to undergraduate students who are studying towards a commercial/business degree (preferably majoring in accounting).
Students must currently be attending either Canterbury or Otago University .
It is expected that the successful applicants will work for Fulton Hogan after they graduate.
This scholarship is open to NZ citizens only.

Objective:
Stage 1: To partake in extensive field training, and to gain a practical understanding of the core businesses of Fulton Hogan Ltd. A proposed field training programme is accompanying this position description. Stage 2: To become competent and gain an understanding of Management and Operation of the Administration and Finance function for the Region in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Group.
Duties:
1. Assisting Administration Manager with preparation and presentation of financial accounts and reports both monthly and quarterly. 2. In conjunction with the Administration Manager develop plans to promote and improve accounting efficiency and the utilisation of effective management control tools.
3. Assist the Administration Manager with the submission of reports, statements, analysis forecasts for current and long-range planning.
4. Assist with Budget preparation for each accountable section.
- Represent and promote all group services and products and encourage full utilisation of all group resources.
- Assist with the introduction and implementation of new/improved systems and communications networks.
- Represent and promote the administration teams Vision Statement and Value Propositions.
- Special projects as agreed with your Administration Manager
- Assist with the promotion of health and safety in the workplace
Induction Programme To ensure that you have a complete understanding of all Fulton Hogan procedures and processes your induction program will include time spent in the field in all divisions of the Canterbury operations. This will allow you to build a knowledge of all Fulton Hogan products and services and understand a users perspective on the administrative systems that are in place and can be improved upon.
Hours of Work
Generally 40 hours per week will be worked, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30am and 5 pm with 30 minutes break for lunch. While working in the field you are expected to work the same hours as the crews, this will invariably include some weekend and night work as well as work out of the Canterbury area.
Performance Measurement
It is understood that you are employed under the Fulton Hogan Graduate Programme and will be required at some future stage to move to other Fulton Hogan regions to further your training and career. Your performance will be measured against successfully completing your training programme which will be documented and monitored quarterly through the attached evaluation review.
